Shenandoah, Va. (June 10, 2019)–The beautiful hills and valleys of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains will ring with country music and roar with the sound of hundreds of “General Lees” when “The Dukes of Hazzard” cast gathers for the Good Ol’ Boys Fest at the Shenandoah Speedway in Shenandoah, Virginia on the weekend of August 10thand 11th. 2019 marks the 40thAnniversary of “The Dukes of Hazzard” TV series.

“This one is shaping up to be huge,” says Ben Jones, who played “Cooter” on the show and is producing the big shindig along with his wife, Alma Viator. “This morning we’re announcing our musical lineup for the festival, and we are excited to welcome 90’s hitmakers Confederate Railroad, America’s longest running band – the award-winning country group Exile, and the Saturday night headliner… five-time Grammy winner Wynonna & The Big Noise.”

“This is a celebration of sorts,” Jones says. “It’s a celebration of the spirit and fun of living in the Heartland of America, with great music, fast cars, and the cast of our show.  It’s about people who love their families and who still have pride in America and in our way of life. When all our fans get together, it is something to behold. It becomes Hazzard County. We’ve already got almost two hundred General Lees rolling in, and folks will be coming in from all over the United States and from several foreign nations.”

“The Speedway is also a perfect place for our Dukes Stunt Show, which culminates, of course, with a big jump by the General. Folks will be able to ride the track in a General Lee, and the stunt guys will also be giving rides in “drift cars”.

The Good Ol’ Boys Festis a Dukes themed festival with cars and stars from the show. Among the Dukes cast who will be appearing are Tom Wopat(Luke Duke), Catherine Bach(Daisy Duke), Ben Jones(Cooter), Sonny Shroyer(Deputy Enos), Rick Hurst(Deputy Cletus) and Byron Cherry(Coy Duke).
