HAZZARD RUN CARAVAN

The festivities officially kick off Saturday morning at 9AM ET with a caravan of General Lees and classic cars through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley from Cooter's Place in Luray, VA.

Vehicle registration is free.
Add a registration to your cart for each vehicle you plan to bring. Each online registration will recieve a dash plaque, which you can pick up at the event when you check in!

Saturday October 3

• 8:00 am — Arrive at Cooter’s and check in to get your dash plaque.
• 8:30 am — Caravan participants should be gathered at Cooter’s Place in Luray and ready to go.
• 9:00 am — Caravan through the picturesque Shenandoah Valley.

5th ANNUAL HALLOWEEN IN HAZZARD COSTUME CONTEST

CONTEST RULES:

• The contest will take place during the Hazzard Run Weekend, October 3-4, 2026, at Cooter’s in Luray.
• One winner, or group of winners, will be chosen from each category.
• Winners will be chosen by the panel of judges with consideration taken from audience and social media reactions.
• Entry is open to anyone that wears a Dukes of Hazzard themed costume to the Hazzard Run Event.
• The judges’ decisions are final.

CATEGORY RULES:

• The contest will take place during the Hazzard Run Weekend, October 3-4, 2026, at Cooter’s in Luray.
• Winners of each category will receive a prize and be featured on all of Cooter’s Place social media outlets.
• One individual may only enter one category. “Best Individual” is not permitted to be a part of “Best Group” or “Best Duo.”
• No offensive costumes please! And remember, Cooter’s is a family establishment. If Uncle Jesse wouldn’t approve, neither would we.
• Photos will be taken during the contest and will be posted online. By entering the costume contest, you are agreeing to allow your image to be used on Cooter’s Place online presence and in future advertising efforts.
• While no changes to these rules are foreseen, certain circumstances may require that the rules be changed. A complete set of current rules will be posted at the costume contest check-in area.

THE CATEGORIES:

The categories are (examples included but not limited to the description):

BEST DUO

Bo and Luke, Boss Hogg and Rosco, Daisy and Enos, Rosco and Flash, Bo and the General Lee, Ben and Miss Alma. Any two Dukes of Hazzard themed costumes.

BEST GROUP

Bring the whole family and dress up like the Duke Family, or the entire Hazzard Police Department, or Cooter’s Garage Band. Any crew larger than two individuals dressed in Dukes costumes.

BEST UNDER 18

One or more young Dukes fans in costume. Persons under 18 can enter the other categories if they are with one or more costumed people over 18, but every person who enters this category must be under 18.

BEST INDIVIDUAL

Calling all Daisys! You don’t have to come with others to win an award. If your Bo, Cletus, or Sherriff Big Ed Little has what it takes to go at it alone, this is the category for you!

MOST UNIQUE

Get creative! What would the Dukes of Hazzard look like in the Star Wars Universe? How would the Dukes survive on The Walking Dead? Can someone dress up like the General Lee? This is your chance to take your cosplay skills to the next level and dream up anything as long as it’s Dukes of Hazzard related.
