1969 Dodge Charger
I bought this model and was disappointed in it. I paid 160 dollars for a model that looked to be worth 30 dollars. The model was cheaply made. They threw the decals loosely in the shipping box that the model was shipped in. Save your money and buy the first generation model that can with decals already applied. That was a nicer model. This model is just a cheaply made orange charger with decals sheet placed in the box with it. I will not purchase another one.

Cooters Exclusive Charger 1/18 Diecast
So I happen to own the original General Lee 1/18 from Auto World, and comparing it side by side with this one, sadly this purchase is like a cheap Chinese knock off. In the box, with the Exclusive Cooter's package and all it actually looks pretty sharp. I bought two, one to open and one to keep in the package. I like the one in the package more now. The one that I opened looks so inferior to my original AW release General Lee. The decal kits is just...bad. Forget the poor quality of the decals, the Confederate flag itself is darker and the stars are smaller than the original one on the General Lee release from before. As is the GENERAL LEE font itself. Same goes for the 01 numbers, these are fatter, and noticeably so. The CB antenna is almost impossible to keep in without falling, the doors open this time, the pushbar in the front is WAYYyyy too far out, it's an RT Charger and has the badging all over the car unlike the real General, I could go on. Things I like are it included the waving flags for the trunk decal, a really nice touch and the one episode Rosco GA plate he put on the General to set up the Duke boys. Also, yes for those unlike me who missed out on the original AW release this is better than paying $500 on the secondary market. So kudos to Cooter's for making this as an option. I got these because I wanted anything Mopar 1:18 General Lee again and figured this was probably my last shot. But other than that, for this price, it's really disappointing once you take it out of the box.

General Lee, well maybe.
Yee haw! Well, not what I was expecting. Having to attach the decals yourself is a little odd and makes it feel like you're just getting an orange Dodge Charger with some decals to make it "look" like a GL. Even if they just left off the roof flag for you to attach to be PC would have made it more "real". Quality is good, very heavy model, love the realistic bonnet hinges, so cool, however it doesn't shut fully so the bonnet sits up a little. The left headlamp had "fallen" down, upon further investigation it has been found it rotates so you can have it look like the grille - awesome! BUT, the right side headlamp doesn't move so it looks silly with one grille and one headlamp showing. Overall, once its decal'd up, I will be happy to own a piece of Americana history.
